Reina Bot: Terms of Service

In short: this is the rulebook for Reina Bot on Discord.

Reina Bot is a Discord app that helps the people who run a Discord server keep scam accounts, spam and raids out of it. It is run by Sovereignty LLC ("we", "us"). You can read what it does on the Reina Bot page and in every command.

Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply to you as well, and nothing here changes them.

Free, as is

In short: it costs nothing, it can be wrong, and it can change.

Reina Bot is free to add to a server and free to use. We provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. It can be wrong: it can miss a scam, and it can flag a real person. We may change Reina Bot, or stop it, at any time.

If we ever offer a paid extra, it will be offered only through Discord, and you will never be charged for anything you did not choose.

Moderators decide

In short: Reina Bot tells moderators what it sees. The moderators choose what happens.

Reina Bot does not decide alone for a server. It tells the moderators in a private channel and gives them buttons. Kicks and bans come from a moderator pressing a button, or from a raid ban that the server's owner confirms first. What Reina Bot shows about a person is a level of risk, not a verdict.

So the people who run a server are responsible for what they do with Reina Bot there, and for the rules of their own server. If something happened to you in a server and you disagree, ask that server's moderators. We cannot undo a ban, a kick or a role in a server that is not ours.

What you may not do

In short: do not use Reina Bot to hurt people, and do not attack it.

You may not use Reina Bot to:

• harass or target people, for example by reporting someone you know has done nothing wrong, or by trying to get a person held or banned;
• break it or get around it, including probing it, overloading it, or working around its limits and checks;
• pull data out of it, in bulk or by any automatic means, other than what the commands show you;
• do anything that Discord's rules or the law do not allow.

If you do, we may take Reina Bot out of your server or stop it answering you. If you think that was a mistake, type /feedback in any server where Reina Bot is, or in a direct message with Reina Bot, and say what happened.

Your data

In short: the privacy page says what is kept and how to delete it.

What Reina Bot keeps about you, why, for how long and how to delete it is on the Reina Bot Privacy Policy. To see it for yourself, type /privacy in any server where Reina Bot is, or in a direct message with Reina Bot.

Leaving

In short: you can remove Reina Bot, and you can delete what it keeps about you, at any time.

Removing Reina Bot from a server. You need the Kick Members permission. Right-click Reina in the server's member list and pick Kick. That removes Reina Bot. Its links to other servers for shared bans end at once, and everything else it keeps about that server is deleted 30 days later. Adding Reina Bot back before then keeps it.

Deleting what Reina Bot keeps about you. Type /privacy, set delete to True and press Enter. That removes your records in every server at once.

Liability

In short: our liability is small, and the law's protections for you stay.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) NEITHER WE NOR OUR SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO REINA BOT; AND (b) OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR REINA BOT IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50).

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW, INCLUDING FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, OR FOR FRAUD. Nothing in these terms applies to the extent the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in does not allow it, and nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections of the country in which you reside.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado. They contain no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver: disputes go to those courts. This is the same rule as Section 18 of the Terms.
