Refunds, in plain sentences

This page says what you get back and when. It is the same policy as Section 5.8 of the Terms, written the way a person would say it; if the two ever disagree, the Terms are the ones that count.

01 Fourteen days if it does not do what it says

If the app does not work as described here and the problem cannot be fixed, write to support@sovereignty.cc within fourteen days of the purchase and that purchase is refunded in full, to the payment method you used. Say what you expected and what happened; a fix is usually faster than a refund, and you choose which you want.

02 Subscriptions

Cancel any time, from wherever you subscribed. You keep everything you paid for until the end of that period, and the free tier is waiting underneath. A part of a period that has already started is not refunded, except under the fourteen-day promise above.

03 Credit top-ups

Top-up credit never expires. An unused top-up is refundable within fourteen days of buying it, as long as none of that credit has been spent. Once any of it has been used, the rest stays yours to spend.

04 If the cloud services stop

If the cloud services are discontinued, or a paid feature your tier was sold on is dropped, the unused part of the period you paid for is refunded. Top-up credit gets the notice period in Section 17 of the Terms to be spent, and whatever is left when the services stop is refunded. The license to the app itself is not refunded, because the local features keep working without the cloud.

05 How to ask, and how long it takes

Email support@sovereignty.cc from the address you paid with, or say which one it was. Refunds go back to the original payment method; the refund itself takes an afternoon on this end, and your bank usually shows it within five to ten business days. Your statement says Sovereignty LLC, which is who you bought from.

Please write before opening a dispute with your bank. A chargeback takes weeks and costs us both, and it is answered with this page.

One person, so a plain promise. Nothing here needs a form, a code or a reason beyond the one you give. If something about a payment feels wrong, write, and it goes to the front of the queue.
