What changed, and when.
Every release, written in sentences rather than commit messages. Reina shows the same app notes on its Updates screen before an update installs; it is the same file, so the two cannot disagree. Changes to this website are listed here too. Pick an area to see only what changed there.

Website Reina Bot pages
- Reina Bot, Reina's Discord bot, has its own pages: what it does, every command with who can use it, the server designs, and its own privacy policy and terms.
- The menu has a Reina Bot link on every page.
- Reina Bot is not open to new servers yet, so the invite button says so.
1.1.0 Free everyday helpers, sharper game commentary, and plans that go further
- New free helpers that never touch your plan: reminders and timers, a focus timer, notes, math and unit conversions, currency conversion, the time anywhere, the weather, what a word means, and music and volume control. They work on every plan, including Free. Ask "what can you do?" for a quick summary, or type /commands local in chat to see them all, then click one to see what it does and how to say it.
- A reminder that goes off while Reina's window is hidden shows up in the tray or flashes the taskbar.
- Every persona now has its own voice and voice settings. Your current voice carries over to all of them, so nothing sounds different until you change it.
- The Voice page shows which persona you're editing and follows the persona Reina is wearing. Piper, ElevenLabs and Fish Audio each keep their own Speed and Pitch.
- A memory can belong to a single persona, so a pet name or habit you set up with one persona stays with that persona.
- Reina saves memories after a conversation ends instead of on a timer, so they come from the whole conversation.
- The startup greeting sounds like the persona you picked.
- Goodbyes are one short line: Reina never begs you to stay or makes you feel guilty for leaving, in any persona.
- Hosted chat and game commentary run on newer models that sound more natural.
- Spoken replies are two or three sentences unless you ask for more, and a very long reply no longer freezes Reina: it's spoken one sentence at a time.
- Talk over Reina and its voice fades out instead of cutting off mid-word, and when Reina can't make out what you said, it asks once instead of again and again.
- Stage directions like [laughs] or (leans back) show in chat but are never read aloud.
- Questions about what's happening right now are always looked up on the web, and quick game lookups answer faster.
- Ask about a game without saying which one while none is running, and Reina asks which game you mean instead of guessing.
- Saying "end the session" works even when Reina hears it as "and the session".
- Game commentary knows what kind of game you're playing and paces itself: focused on the action in shooters, calmer in exploration and cozy games, but never quiet for long. Lines are about what just happened, never one word, and a line that would arrive late is dropped.
- In slower games, Reina sometimes talks about the stretch itself: a question about what you're after, a tease, or once in a long session a warm word about taking a break. Never during a fight or a cutscene, and never the same thing twice.
- In Wuthering Waves story scenes and cutscenes, Reina stays quiet until the whole scene ends, even through long camera shots or one scene running into the next, then gives one opinion without reading the characters' lines back. A character chatting out in the world no longer makes Reina go quiet.
- New Chattiness setting in Settings > Tuning: Quiet, Balanced or Chatty. Quiet makes your commentary hours last longer and Chatty uses them faster.
- While Reina is quiet during commentary, the desktop Reina glances at your game now and then so you know it's still watching, and its idle murmurs no longer play over your game.
- In Overwatch, Reina reads the kill feed and calls your kills as they happen.
- Commentary keeps better track of the match: it knows when you die and respawn and which hero you're playing, stays quiet while you spectate after a death, and says one line in the lobby instead of several. Losing D.Va's or D.mon's mech is no longer called a death, and one death is never announced twice.
- Commentary only mentions what it actually saw: no more numbers or details made up from blurry on-screen text. It calls you by the name Reina remembers for you, says hero names like Soldier: 76 correctly, and no longer mistakes map names for player names. What Reina says in commentary never becomes a memory.
- Reina no longer describes scenery that was never on the screen, for example when it only read the quest tracker.
- Each quest objective is announced once, and menu text or a passerby's speech bubble is no longer mistaken for one.
- Reina no longer gives you credit for what the characters in a cutscene did.
- Reina takes fewer wasted screen looks in calm stretches of a game and during cutscenes.
- In calm games, Reina no longer says how many seconds ago something happened.
- When a line runs long, Reina cuts it at the end of a full sentence, never in the middle of a quote, and a reply written like a little script with several speakers is dropped.
- PC tasks are quicker and use less of your plan: simple ones, like opening an app, a website or a folder, run on a faster model, and for the rest a faster model reads the screen while the careful one still does every click and keystroke.
- Closing an app is checked: Reina tells you whether it really closed, is still running in the tray, or is waiting on a "save changes?" box, and it never closes a different window by mistake.
- Say a website address like "pull up encore.moe" and Reina opens it directly instead of searching for it.
- If Reina opens the wrong app, say "no, I meant" and the right name: Reina opens it and asks which one you mean the next time it hears that name.
- A misheard app name, like "weather in waves", now finds the game you meant.
- Reina waits until a game's window is actually showing before calling it ready, and knows to wait through launchers like Battle.net, Riot Client and HoYoPlay.
- When a task needs a website and the browser extension isn't connected, Reina suggests it once per session, with a "Don't show again" option.
- If a local model switch is on but can't run, because nothing is installed or your graphics card can't run it, Reina says so under the switch and when it starts.
- Downloading a local model from the Modules page works again. In 1.0.8 every download stopped with an error before it began. A dropped download now picks up where it stopped, free space is checked first, and Reina warns before installing Local chat on a graphics card that can't run it.
- Setting descriptions and tooltips are shorter and plainer.
- Plans go further: Standard now covers about 35 hours of game commentary a month, or about 970 chat replies, or a mix, and Plus, Pro and top-ups grow the same way. Prices haven't changed.
- Usage now shows game commentary in hours, chat in replies and PC tasks as a count, instead of one blended number of hours. What you pay is the same; it's just measured as it happens.
- The Subscription row says when your plan renews or ends, and a plan that ended is no longer called "revoked".
- Buttons on the support page at sovereignty.cc can open Reina straight to the page you need.
- The privacy policy now covers the weather, dictionary and currency lookups, and when Reina reads your clipboard.
- A round of fixes and polish.
- If the update doesn't finish installing, quit Reina from its tray icon and run the 1.1.0 installer from sovereignty.cc. Your settings, memory and license are kept.
1.0.8 Updates you can count on, and a prettier installer
- Updates now install reliably even when Reina is on a different drive, and they wait out antivirus briefly holding a file.
- If an update can't finish, Reina reopens and tells you why in plain words, with a link to the installer, instead of quietly staying on the old version.
- A downloaded update is offered again when Reina starts, with a badge on Updates so you don't miss it.
- Windows' Apps list now shows the right Reina version after an update.
- "Go back a version" is removed for now; it'll return once it's reliable.
- The installer: no more flashing or blinking in Reina's animations, readable text on every page, smoother speech bubbles, a bigger summary on the Ready page, and new wording ("Time to move in!", "Start Reina on startup").
- Installing over a running Reina now closes it properly first.
- Reina no longer talks as if it plays your games; it watches and cheers you on.
- If the update doesn't finish installing, quit Reina from its tray icon and run the 1.0.8 installer from sovereignty.cc. Your settings, memory and license are kept.
Website Reina reacts to you, and four demos
- Reina notices what you do on the page: scroll too fast and Reina gets dizzy, sit still and Reina yawns and dozes off, come back another day and Reina remembers you.
- The expression hunt: every reaction on the site is one to find, with a counter in the footer and a card you can download. Your finds stay in your browser.
- Click Reina beside What Reina Does to hear a line, in Reina's own voice. Sound only ever plays on a click.
- Home has a real chat session you can scrub through, the same moments in four personas, and what Reina said about four real screens.
- Pricing has a calculator: set your hours a week and see which plan fits.
- The lost page has Reina looking under the desk for it.
- Patch notes can be filtered by what changed: the app, the website, the avatar, personas, voice and more.
1.0.7 Personas with more personality, and a round of fixes
- Saint is now called E Girl (Cute). If you were using it, Reina switches over for you.
- Yandere is sweeter and needier, with something always a little off, and the scary side shows up when something sets it off.
- Mommy uses pet names now and then instead of in every line, comforts you first when you're having a hard time, and says yes when you ask for praise.
- Reina no longer recites a persona's example lines word for word, and repeats itself less.
- Bold or emphasized words are spoken instead of skipped, number ranges are read as "700 to 730", and short sentences no longer leave odd gaps.
- Game commentary keeps going if a screenshot fails, for example while a game is launching, and opens its lines in more different ways.
- Commentary only says something was won, lost or completed when the screen shows it, and on videos it no longer talks to you as if you were the person on screen.
- Ask Reina "what do you mean?" and it explains what it just said.
- Reina waits longer for slow games to open, and a question that sounds like "play..." no longer turns into a music search.
- Reina's quiet idle lines no longer talk over you, and with Continuous listening on, "Hey Reina" no longer gets a spoken answer.
- A greeting to someone else, like "hey babe", is no longer taken as an answer to Reina.
- Reina knows the time of day, so no more "sleepyhead" in the evening, and a quick restart no longer greets you twice.
- Reina checks in at most twice while you are away, and welcomes you back after five minutes away instead of ten.
- Editing or deleting a saved voice now works the way you'd expect.
- The menu on Reina says "Show Reina", the same as the setting that brings Reina back.
- A round of fixes and polish.
- If the update doesn't finish installing, quit Reina from its tray icon and run the 1.0.7 installer from sovereignty.cc. Your settings, memory and license are kept.
1.0.6 Three new personas, new voices, and a smoother app
- Three new personas: UwU Girl, Saint, and Mommy.
- Playful Tease has a new attitude: a giggly brat who teases you, dares you to do better, and gets flustered when you're sweet back.
- A new Fish Audio voice, "Reina UwU", sits right next to Reina's own voice.
- Voice settings have one searchable picker for Piper, ElevenLabs and Fish Audio. You can also save custom voices under your own names and switch back to them anytime.
- Voice engines are grouped into Free (runs on your PC) and Paid (your own cloud key).
- OpenAI voices are gone. If you were using one, Reina switches to the free Piper voice, and you can pick any voice you like.
- Every dropdown in the app now opens the same smooth, searchable panel.
- Reina always comes back from the tray, even if Windows Explorer restarts.
- Reina keeps natural pauses when speaking, so names and lists no longer run together.
- Reina no longer repeats a sentence from an earlier reply, but still answers in full when you ask "what did you just say?"
- Game commentary no longer leans on the same text faces and pet names line after line.
- Text faces said on their own are never read aloud, and XD is said as "ex dee".
- The status panel says Speaking while Reina talks, not Thinking.
- Reina only sits at the desk while working on a task, and stands up to talk to you.
- The speech bubble by Reina's portrait hides in chat, and while the desktop Reina is showing its own bubble.
- A round of fixes and polish.
1.0.5 Better listening, fewer repeats, and a round of fixes
- Reina hears "Hey Reina" more reliably, even when it comes through as one word, and only answers to it near the start of what you say, so mentioning Reina's name mid-sentence no longer wakes Reina.
- With Continuous listening on, saying "Hey Reina" first no longer reaches the reply, and a quick double-click on a switch counts as one click.
- If Reina starts up in a noisy room, the microphone recalibrates once things go quiet instead of staying deaf to quiet speech all session.
- Switching to a different persona and starting Reina again now gets a hello from the new persona.
- Settings you change while Reina is starting up are no longer switched back a few seconds later.
- Reina's faces fit the moment better: the stunned look is kept for real surprises.
- Reina no longer says the same line twice in a row, and a reply that gets cut off no longer reads a half-written action aloud.
- Text faces like >:3 and kaomoji are no longer read aloud, and uwu and owo are said as words.
- Stopping a reply keeps only the part you heard, whichever way Reina answered.
- If the cloud voice has a brief outage, Reina keeps talking in the local voice for a minute and then switches back, instead of losing the voice for the rest of the session.
- Poking Reina works with "Let Reina act on your computer when you ask" turned off, and never interrupts Reina mid-task.
- Reina's window can now only open its own files and your chosen wallpaper. Your current wallpaper is copied into Reina's folder once so it keeps working.
- Reina is on Facebook too: find it with the other socials on the Support page, in the sidebar and at the end of these notes.
- A round of security and reliability fixes.
1.0.4 Quicker to answer, better at listening, and easier to find
- Reina starts speaking after the first sentence instead of waiting for the whole reply.
- Reina waits when you trail off mid-sentence, so half a question no longer gets an answer, and answers quickly once you finish.
- If you stop Reina partway through a reply, only the part you heard stays in the chat and in Reina's memory.
- With Continuous listening on, anything you say while Reina is talking is answered next instead of being lost.
- Fewer repeated lines and stock phrases in chat and game commentary, and commentary no longer repeats a reply Reina just gave.
- Game commentary now knows what kind of moment just happened, such as a kill, a death or a clutch, and stays quiet on menus and lobby screens.
- Personas can carry their own example lines for game commentary. Yandere and Playful Tease come with theirs.
- Persona Studio has a Try it button that runs a few test lines in the real voice, and new personas come with chat and game lines.
- Editing or restoring the persona Reina is wearing now applies right away.
- With "Let Reina act on your computer when you ask" turned off, Reina now stays hands-free on every path, never shares your installed programs list, and asks before opening a command shell even when it is on.
- Local chat and Local vision are out of testing: both now sit under On this PC in Settings.
- Local chat works again on the current graphics runtime. Update Local chat to 1.1 on the Modules page for a retrained model that keeps Reina's private thoughts private and makes Reina's expressions match what Reina says.
- Follow Reina from the Support page, the sidebar or the end of these notes, and ask Reina where to find Reina online.
Website Follow Reina
- Reina's profiles are in every footer, and a new Links page gathers them in one place.
Website The shop opens
- The plans can be bought from the pricing page.
- Support shows the installer's fingerprint, so you can check your download is the real one.
1.0.3 Walking, jogging, running, and looking after you
- Reina now walks, power walks, jogs, runs and sprints as the speed slider rises, each at its natural pace, with the gaits marked on the slider.
- If Reina believes you may be in crisis, Reina sets the character aside, talks with you plainly, and shows ways to reach a real person. Jokes and game talk are left alone. See sovereignty.cc/safety.
- A small note under the message box reminds you that Reina is an AI and can make mistakes.
- Search now sits at the top of the menu. Pick a result and Reina opens the page and highlights the setting for a moment.
- A small dot marks any setting you have changed, with an arrow beside it to put it back to its default.
- Every slider follows your hand as you drag, including the theme and wallpaper ones.
- Hover a chat message to edit or remove it. It only changes what you see on screen.
- Reina's speech bubble clears when you clear the chat, stop Reina, or remove the message it shows.
- Before Reina writes or rewrites a persona for you, Reina tells you roughly how much usage it takes. You can turn the question off.
- Reina's feet stay planted while carrying something across your desktop, and resizing Reina settles faster.
- A round of security and reliability fixes, including safer handling of your memory file and of confirmations.
Website A page on safety
- A new Safety page explains what Reina does if it thinks you might be in crisis, linked from the Terms and every footer.
1.0.2 A new home, and a lot more to say
- Reina's window is rebuilt from the ground up in her own style, with her portrait, mood and speech bubble beside the chat, and a tea-service loading screen.
- Pick a wallpaper, including animated ones, or use your own. Themes now include gradients, a Black theme and your own text color.
- Search every setting with Ctrl+K. Settings stay tucked away until you open them.
- Click Reina for a quick menu of the common switches. Click-through mode and an opacity slider keep her out of your way.
- While Reina is answering, the Send button becomes Stop, so you can cut a long reply short.
- Usage shows as a share of your month instead of money.
- Credits lists the people and projects Reina is built on.
- Reina can read a PDF you point at, or a page you link, even with no browser extension installed. A long document goes across as text, a form goes as pages.
- Commentary waits for a gap in the conversation instead of talking over you, and an hour of film costs about a third of what it used to.
- When a game has been doing the same thing for a while, Reina remarks on the stretch rather than the moment, and can stay quiet instead.
- Expressions only appear when something causes them, so Reina's face is calmer and means more when it does change.
- Throw Reina at the top of the screen and the window maximizes, the way anything else does.
- Reina opens on the monitor you left it on, loading screen included.
- The loading screen is new, and tells you how large an update was.
- The setup wizard is redrawn in Reina's own style, start to finish.
- In the Persona Studio the list is now the picker, and an imported personality keeps its author's wording and says what it costs.
- Private thoughts stay in the Thinking view instead of being read aloud.
- Reina now arrives knowing a short list of standing rules about how to behave, rather than having to learn all of them from you.
- Voice lines always come from the same model now, so the personality does not drift partway through a conversation.
- With the local voice on, Reina no longer says the same line over and over. A reply that repeats an earlier one is handed to the online voice instead.
- Commentary no longer repeats something Reina just said in chat, and no longer reads the game's screen back to you word for word.
- Commentary no longer speaks stage directions such as smirks or smiles out loud.
- The session log no longer records your username or Reina's internals, and a support report carries less about your machine.
- The Skills page is open to everyone, and Reina ships with 17 skills. New ones fix low FPS and stutter, look up counters and builds for the current patch, run a focus session, tidy a folder, explain what is on your screen, weigh whether a game is worth buying, convert mouse sensitivity between games, and build spreadsheets.
- Reina can tidy a folder you allow by moving files into place. It never overwrites or deletes anything, and asks you once before any move, naming every folder involved.
- Closing the window can send Reina to the tray instead of quitting, and minimizing keeps Reina on the taskbar like any other app. A new key, unbound until you set one, sends Reina to the tray and back.
- The window resizes from every edge and corner and snaps like any other app.
- Commentary reads the game more often, knows about the queue and the map vote, calls other players by their hero rather than their username, and no longer goes quiet for minutes at a time.
- Commentary gets health, kill streaks, victories, stuns and map names right, and when you correct the name of the hero you are playing, Reina stops using the wrong one.
- Ask Reina to pull up patch notes and the notes open, instead of the game's launcher.
- Playful Tease roasts the way it was meant to, Yandere is complete, and each has its own portrait.
- Poking or picking up Reina gets a voice and a reaction again, and speech bubbles never show stage directions.
- Reina says an action is done only once it is actually done.
- The Memory page shows what Reina remembers even while Reina is stopped, and Reina's memory and its backups are encrypted whenever you quit.
- Every setting does what it says, no keybind comes bound out of the box, and Escape, Backspace or Delete clears one.
- The browser extension no longer relaunches Reina every few seconds.
- Reina's sense of when you have finished talking works in the installed app, not only in development.
Website Real screenshots
- Home shows real screenshots of the app; click one to see it full size.
- The download notes explain the browser's "not commonly downloaded" warning and how to keep the file.
- Patch notes joined the top bar, and the menu opens a page's sections only when you pick that page.
Website A new website
- The whole site was redesigned to match the app: dark by default, a live Reina at a desk, and a menu that reaches every page and section (Ctrl K).
- The site loads nothing from any other website: its fonts and pictures are its own.
1.0.1 New voices
- Kokoro, a second local voice that sounds more natural than the built-in one, is a free download in the Modules tab. Once it is installed, pick Kokoro under Voice in Settings.
- Reina can now speak with an OpenAI or Fish Audio voice on your own API key, alongside ElevenLabs.
- The built-in voice starts speaking about a second and a half sooner.
- Voice API keys are stored encrypted on your device and never appear in a support report.
- The privacy policy now describes the new voices, so Reina asks you to accept it once more.
1.0.0 Reina 1.0
- The first release. Reina lives on your desktop, talks with you, and can use your computer when you ask.
- The avatar, text to speech and the Persona Studio run on your own machine, with no account.
- Cloud features need a subscription, or your own API keys on the bring-your-own-key plan.
- Unused monthly budget carries over for a full calendar month, up to one month of your plan.
- Settings can buy usage credit under Account.
Reina checks for updates on its own and never installs one without asking. It tells you the version and the size first, keeps the previous version so you can go back, and can show these notes the first time it opens on a new one.
