Reina Bot: Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 October 2026.

Reina Bot keeps what it needs to judge a join and to show your moderators why. It never keeps the text of your messages in its database. This page lists everything it keeps, how long, and how to delete it.

The numbers on this page are read from Reina Bot's code when this page is built, so they cannot drift from what it really does.

What Reina Bot keeps

When someone joins or is handled

What is keptWhyHow long
When you joined and when your account was made, a fingerprint of your profile picture (never the picture), the join score, the risk band and the reason codes behind it.To judge whether a new account looks like a scam, and to show moderators why.30 days by default. A server can change this.
A short log of what Reina or a moderator did about you: held, let in, kicked, banned, reminded, vouched, put on a blacklist, had a spam message deleted (the name of the filter, never the text). If you are a moderator, the buttons you pressed. So moderators can see what already happened, and so Reina does not repeat itself.90 days.
How many real messages you sent and when you last wrote in a server. Counts only, never the words. To tell long-standing members, who are trusted, from brand-new accounts.Dropped 90 days after you were last seen.

Scam pictures

What is keptWhyHow long
Fingerprints of pictures that moderators confirmed as scams, with the id of the person who posted them. This list never holds the pictures themselves; the next item is the one exception, and it is off until a server turns it on.To catch the same scam picture the next time it appears.Unconfirmed fingerprints: 7 days. Confirmed ones: until a moderator uses /security forget on you or you use /privacy.
Pictures sent to Reina's shared scam list. Only if a server turns sending on and its moderators confirm a picture as a scam. The picture itself is kept until the people who run Reina Bot look at it, then only its fingerprint, with the day it came in. The shared list and its review never record which server sent a picture or who posted it. If the sending server's own list is on, that server's records (the item above) still hold their own copy of the fingerprint and who posted it, because that is how its own list works; with its own list off, it keeps no copy of a picture it sent.So a scam picture confirmed in one server can warn other servers, after a person has checked that it really is a scam. The picture: until it is approved or rejected, and less than 30 days at the very most. After approval the fingerprint stays on the shared list until the people who run Reina Bot remove it. To stop a server sending: /security images send:False.

Reports and alerts

What is keptWhyHow long
Reports you filed or that were filed about you: who, which server, when, and the ids of the message. Not the text.So two trusted reports can quarantine a scammer, and so the same person cannot be reported over and over.90 days.
Which alert messages in a server's moderator channels were about you (message ids only). So an alert closes itself when someone acts, even if Reina restarted in between.90 days.

Servers

What is keptWhyHow long
Server backups: roles, channels, emojis and stickers, and which member had which role (by id).So a moderator can put back what a hijacked account deleted. The newest 4 automatic backups, about a day; the newest 3 a moderator made with /backup now, with no time limit on those; and the newest 3 Reina took right before a setup, design or removal change or after a restore, each for 7 days. Deleting your data removes you from all of them.
Your user id, that you were banned, one reason word, and when. Kept only if a moderator in a server linked to yours banned you with Reina Bot's Ban button. So the linked server's moderators are told when you join. It never changes your score or holds you.90 days, or until that server unbans you or either side unlinks.
Your user id, the role id and when it ends. Only for a role you took from a pick-your-own panel that has a time limit. Panels without a time limit keep nothing about you: Reina keeps no list of who picked what (its server backups do copy every member's roles as Discord shows them). So Reina can take the role off by itself when the time is up, even if it restarted in between.Until the time is up, or until you leave that server, a moderator uses /security forget on you, or you use /privacy. If you leave while Reina is offline, until the time would have been up.
Your user id, a moderator's short reason (up to 100 characters, it may be empty), who added you, when, and when the entry ends. Kept only if a moderator in a server put you on that server's blacklist. It is shared with a linked server only when the owners of both servers turned blacklist sharing on, and then that server also sees the date and the name of the server that added you.So that server can keep out people its moderators decided in advance they do not want. It acts only when you join that server, and Reina never sends you a message about it.Until the entry ends (180 days by default, set between 30 and 730 by that server's moderators), a moderator uses /blacklist remove, a moderator uses /security forget on you, or you use /privacy with delete set to True, which removes it everywhere.
Each server's settings, and two records about you if they apply: the role ids Reina took when it contained you, and who started a lockdown. So Restore can give the roles back, and so a lockdown can be explained.Until a moderator restores or forgets you, you delete your data, or 30 days after the server removes Reina Bot.
Everything above about one server, after that server removes Reina Bot.So a server that removed Reina Bot by mistake, or whose hijacked admin removed it during an attack, gets its settings and backups back when it adds Reina Bot again within a month.30 days after Reina Bot is removed from the server (a removal while Reina Bot was offline counts from the moment it notices, at its next start), then every record about that server is deleted at once: its settings, join records, logs, message counts, picture fingerprints, reports, alert records and backups. Its links to other servers and its shared ban notes go the moment it is removed. Adding Reina Bot back before then keeps everything else; to share bans again, run /security share. Pictures the server sent to the shared scam list belong to no server and stay as the shared-list row above says.

Other records

What is keptWhyHow long
Nothing about you. For each server, the ids of the two AutoMod rules Reina made when a moderator used /security wordfilter. The words and sites in them are in Discord, set by that server's moderators. So the editor can find those two rules again.Until the server's moderators change them, or 30 days after the server removes Reina Bot.

What is only in memory

Kept only in memory and gone when Reina restarts: moderators' names and profile pictures (so Reina can spot a name that copies a moderator's), running scores, and scam messages you forwarded that are waiting for you to pick the server.

Copies of messages and files that Reina places in a server's moderator channels are not in Reina's database. They are ordinary Discord messages in that server's channels, and Discord's rules and the server's moderators govern them.

Deleting your data

Type /privacy in any server where Reina is, or in a direct message with Reina. Read the list, then run it again with delete set to True.

A moderator can also remove what Reina Bot keeps about you in their server: ask them to run /security forget.

Deleting removes your records in every server at once. This is what it changes:

  • Removes your join records, the log of what was done about you, your message counts, your picture fingerprints, your reports (filed and received), your alert records, your shared ban notes, any blacklist entry about you, and the end time of any timed role you took from a pick-your-own panel.
  • Removes you from every backup: your role list and your own channel permissions.
  • A moderator's own actions stay in the log, but without their name, so a release they made still counts. A blacklist entry a moderator added about someone else stays too, without the moderator's name.
  • Does not undo a ban, a kick or a role. Roles Reina took can only be given back by hand: Server Settings > Members. To appeal a ban, ask that server's moderators.
  • If you are in quarantine, the Quarantine role stays until a moderator presses Approve, and the moderators are told you asked to delete.
  • If you were on a server's anti-nuke trusted list, you are taken off it and the server is told.
  • You can delete once a minute.

Deletion is immediate and is never refused. The only limit is once a minute, so if Reina Bot asks you to wait, wait a minute and run it again.

How it is protected

Reina Bot's data is kept on a computer we run, on a disk that is encrypted at rest. Nothing in it is a copy of what you wrote: Reina Bot never keeps the text of your messages in its database.

Reina Bot is a Discord app, so what you say to it and in the servers it is in also passes through Discord, which has its own privacy policy. This page covers only what Reina Bot itself keeps.

What Reina Bot never does

  • No selling. We never sell what Reina Bot keeps about you, and we never share it for advertising.
  • No AI training. What Reina Bot keeps is never used to train AI models.
  • No message text. Reina Bot never keeps the text of your messages in its database.
  • No ads. Reina Bot shows none.
